This formula will increase the salary of employees.
According to the Eighth Pay Commission, the salary will increase in the same way as the Seventh Pay Commission was implemented. Acroid formula will be used to increase the salaries and pension of employees.

What is this formula?
The sutra was presented by Dr. Wales Acroid, which was designed to determine the minimum cost of living. It was said in this sutra that the salary should be calculated on the basis of nutritional requirements of the average employee. While making this formula, the requirements like food, textiles and housing of employees were taken into consideration. This sutra was adopted by the 15th Indian Labor Council (ILC) in 1957.

This formula was implemented in the 7th Pay Commission
Under this formula, the salary of employees under the 7th Pay Commission was also increased. After the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission, the basic salary of the employees increased from Rs 7000 to Rs 18000. The fitment factor of 2.57 was implemented to update the salaries and pension of the employees. This fitment factor was determined by acroid formula.

Salary will increase three times under 8th Pay Commission!
It is estimated that with the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission, there will be a bumper increase in the salary of employees. Basic salary may increase by about three times, which will be possible under acroid formula. If this formula is used in the 8th Pay Commission, then salary and pension will be calculated on 2.86 fitments. That is, the minimum basic salary can increase from Rs 18000 to Rs 51480. At the same time, pension will increase from Rs 9000 to Rs 25740.
