The Indian stock market opened in the red mark for the third day after opening with gains for two consecutive days. The domestic stock market opened with a decline today and the Sensex-Nifty opened in the red mark. The NSE Sensex opened 257 points or 0.34 per cent down at 74,913.07. While the BSE Nifty opened 88.50 points down at 22,799 points.

Profit booking continues in the market before the Lok Sabha election results

Investors are adopting a cautious stance ahead of the Lok Sabha election results, due to which profit booking is being seen in the stock market. Meanwhile, domestic indices fell in early trade on Wednesday and the market declined for the fourth consecutive trading session. Keep in mind that the results of the Lok Sabha elections are to be announced on June 4 and there is a lot of instability in the market regarding this.

Sensex Companies Updates

Among the companies listed on the Sensex, shares of Mahindra & Mahindra, IndusInd Bank, HDFC Bank, Tech Mahindra, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank fell the most. While shares of Bharti Airtel, Tata Steel, Power Grid and State Bank of India were trading with gains.

This morning, South Korea's Kospi, Hong Kong's Hang Seng and Japan's Nikkei were in losses in the Asian markets. However, China's Shanghai Composite was seen trading in profit. Apart from this, the US markets closed with a mixed trend on Tuesday, due to which the Indian stock market could not get any special support.
