News India Live, Digital Desk: There has been a big turn in the case of alleged murder of King Raghuvanshi, the tourist of Indore. Police said on Monday that his missing wife was arrested along with three other people. Raja and his wife Sonam, who came to Meghalaya on a honeymoon, went missing last month. According to the police, Sonam allegedly conspired to murder and rented the killers.
Sagma of Chief Minister Conrad In a post on X said that the Meghalaya Police has got a “big success” in the Raja murder case. He wrote about X, “In the Raja murder case, #Meghalayapulis has got a big success within 7 days … 3 attackers from Madhya Pradesh have been arrested, the woman has surrendered and the operation is still going on to catch another attacker… Meghalaya Police has done a great job.”
The newly married tourist couple of Indore in Madhya Pradesh went missing after walking in some areas during their honeymoon on 23 May. The body of the king was found in a valley, 20 km from Nongriyat village on 2 June, while a search operation was carried out to search for his wife. The police also recovered the king’s phone and a knife from the scene, which is believed to be used to kill him.
The Meghalaya Police has arrested three attackers from Madhya Pradesh, while Raja’s wife has been arrested from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh. Sonam was found at a dhaba in Ghazipur. He has been medical examination and has currently been kept in the One Stop Center for security and further investigation.
Meghalaya Director General of Police (DGP) Idashisha Nongrang said Sonam surrendered to the police, while three other accused were arrested in an overnight raid. She further said that she was involved in her husband’s alleged murder and is believed to have hired three people to kill her.
