Ministry signed agreement for production of 200 Vande Bharat Sleeper Reck

Indian Railways has completed field tests for the first 16 coach prototype rack of the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train. This will make it easier to expand the Vande Bharat fleet. The Central Government has informed Parliament about this. The prototype has already been built. The process is currently in its final stages. A total of 10 rakes with 16 coaches will be built at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai for the operation of Vande Bharat sleeper trains.

Vande Bharat update on sleeper train

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given information about this by writing questions in the Lok Sabha. He informed that the production of prototype racks of 16 coaches has been completed under the first set of Vande Bharat Sleeper Train. Its field trial has also been completed and the process of launching the rake will start soon. ICF Chennai plans to make 10 racks of 16 cars and 50 racks of 24 cars. Apart from this, the Ministry has also signed the agreement for the production of 200 Vande Bharat Sleeper Recks. Many companies have been contacted for this. The cooperation of Indian Railway employees will also be taken in this.

Fire retarder door systems

This train will be made entirely under indigenous automatic train security system. For the safety of passengers, the train’s body will be designed completely according to the standards of accident-resistant, semi-stable coupler, anti-climpers. EN-45545 HL3 security technology will be used in train production. So that security can be ensured in the event of fire. At the end of each coach, the fire -retarded door system will be installed.

Monitoring with CCTV cameras

Vande Bharat Sleeper train will install a regenerative braking system, which will improve efficiency and save energy. Passenger facility has been taken care of in the construction of the train. The seats will have automatic plug doors, there will be ergonomic stairs to reach the upper berth. For security, the train will have an emergency talk-back system, good AC and lighting for dialogue with CCTV cameras, train manager and loco pilot.
