News India Live, Digital Desk: Pakistan all -rounder Mohammad Nawaz has created history with his deadly spin bowling. In the final match of the T20 Tri-series played against Afghanistan in Sharjah, he not only took a hat-trick, but also gave his team a brilliant and memorable victory by taking five wickets. With this hat -trick, Nawaz has become the third bowler for Pakistan to take a hat -trick in T20 international cricket.
The match was at a turn where the target of 142 runs given by Pakistan did not seem very big. But then Mohammad Nawaz, who came to bowl and he overturned the match.
Nawaz weaved such a trap of his moving balls that Afghanistan’s team was shattered like cards. He sent Darvish Rasuli and Azmatullah Umrajai to the pavilion off the last two balls of his first over. After this, when he came to over his next over, he completed his hat -trick by stumping Ibrahim Zadran on the very first ball.
His hat-trick proved to be so decisive that Afghanistan’s team could not recover from pressure and the entire team was reduced to 66 runs, which is their second lowest T20 score, Pakistan won the TRAI-series title by winning the match by a big margin of 75 runs. Nawaz took a total of 5 wickets in his brilliant performance and he was chosen as ‘Player of the Match’, this is also the best performance of his T20 international career.
Prior to Mohammad Nawaz, only two fast bowlers, Faheem Ashraf (2017) and Mohammad Hasnain (2019) were able to do this feat in T20 for Pakistan. Nawaz is the first Pakistani spinner to achieve this feat.
