News India Live, Digital Desk: Monsoon Session: Today is the second day of the monsoon session of the Indian Parliament, and there is a possibility that the proceedings of the House will remain romite like the first day. Due to the ever -increasing altercation between the ruling party and the opposition parties, the debate on important issues within the House is making it difficult. Yesterday, i.e. on the first day of the session, there was no significant discussion due to the strict opposition from the opposition in both the Houses, both the Houses, after which the proceedings had to be postponed for the day. The parties have clarified their intention to surround the government from day one. Their primary demands include sensitive issues like violence in Manipur, ever increasing inflation in the country, increasing unemployment among youth. Along with the demand for immediate discussion on these, the demand for debate on a particular subject called ‘Operation Sindoor’ has also brought the government in the rescue posture. In addition, the opposition parties are also seeking answers to the alleged misuse of the Central Agencies like Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the alleged irregularities found in some government schemes. On the other hand, the government has clarified its stance, saying that they are ready to discuss all kinds of topics in the House, provided that they should be in the responsibility of Parliamentary Rules. Talking to the media, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi assured that the government is committed to running the Parliament smoothly and consulting the issues related to the public. Today, there will be a final decision on the business advisory committees (BAC) meetings in both the houses, where further proceedings and debates will be done on what will be debated. It is clear that Parliament, which is the highest legislative body of the country and the main forum of debate on matters of public importance, seems to be wandering from its purpose due to the current political tussle. Now it will be seen whether there is a real discussion in Parliament today, or once again the issues of public interest will be upset.
