Speaking about her personal sacrifice made over the years, Sudha Murthy explained how she maintained a balance in family life with her husband’s busy career. He said, “I took this decision, and I also decided that there is no use in complaining to my husband and saying that, oh, you are not there, because he is doing a great job.” Murthy also admitted that this level of dedication to work is not limited to her husband only, but professionals from other fields, such as doctors and journalists, also work for a long time to achieve their goals.
He further said, “I have to create my own way to be busy and don’t think that you have no time. I was writing, but I started writing a little more.” Considering the nature of time, Sudha Murthy concluded, “God has given 24 hours, whether you are rich or poor, beautiful or ugly. How do you want to spend it, it is up to you. And if you want to do a work with passion, it takes time and if you are obsessed with your work, your partner should support it.”
It is noteworthy that during a podcast in 2023, the founder of Infosys Narayan Murthy said that the country’s work productivity is the lowest in the world. Giving the example of Germans and Japanese during World War II, the idol suggested that youth should consider working 70 hours a week.
