If you too are dreaming of becoming a doctor and are waiting for a good seat, then there is a relief news for you. The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has decided to give one more chance to the students who participated in the stray vacancy round of NEET UG 2025 counselling.
Many students were worried that the time for choice filling and locking was coming to an end. In view of this, MCC has extended the last date.
Now you can fill your choice till 13th November
Now all the students can fill and lock the colleges and courses of their choice till 11:55 pm on 13th November 2025. This decision has been taken because 1232 MBBS seats under All India Quota (AIQ) are still vacant. This step has been taken only to give more opportunities to the students.
It is important to know these rules of Stray Vacancy Round
- Everyone will have to do new registration: MCC has made it clear that if you want to participate in this last round, you will have to do a fresh registration and choice filling, even if you have registered earlier.
- For NRI and PwD candidates: Students applying under NRI quota had to email their documents by November 11. At the same time, candidates belonging to disabled category could get their certificate made till 12th November.
There may be some delay in getting the results
Since the date of choice filling has been extended, it is obvious that there will be a slight delay in the result of seat allotment. Earlier this result was to come on November 12, but now MCC will announce the new date soon. Due to this change, many states have also changed their counseling schedule so that there is no confusion.
