Uttar Pradesh News: New Greenfield Highway will boost infrastructure in Purvanchal

The Yogi government has taken another important step to make the road infrastructure more modern and stronger in Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh. In the coming time, a new green field highway will be built in this area, which will speed up the speed of development by changing the picture of the entire area. This new highway will make it easier to travel from Ghazipur to Chandauli and regional connectivity will improve.

Travel from Ghazipur to Chandauli will now be intensified

The construction of this new Greenfield Highway proposed by the Uttar Pradesh government will make the journey easier between Ghazipur and Chandauli. Currently there is a 7 meter wide road on this route, which often jams. But the construction of this new forelane road will save a lot of time in the journey from Ghazipur to Chandauli. This road will mainly provide a new facility for travelers going from Chandauli to Bihar, so that they will not need to go to Benares.

Greenfield highway expansion

Under the new Greenfield Highway Project, NHAI (National Highway Authority of India) will construct a 41.54 km long highway from Ghazipur to Chandauli. The project has also been approved by the Prime Minister’s speed power portal, and the cost of this project has been fixed at around Rs 3104 crore. This highway will be built with Rs 1,684 crore, and with its construction, passengers from Ghazipur to Chandauli will be able to go directly from Chandauli to Bihar.

More than 30 villages will benefit

This Greenfield Highway will pass through more than 30 villages, which will directly benefit the residents of these villages. About 260 hectares of land will be required for the construction of the highway, and farmers will be given proper compensation for this land. This project will lead to economic development in the surrounding areas, and farmers will get fair price for their land.

Road construction process

The detail project report (DPR) of this highway is being prepared and the process of land acquisition will also start soon. NHAI Project Director, Praveen Kumar Katiyar said that the project will benefit the public soon and its construction will improve traffic conditions.
