News India Live, Digital Desk: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s government has taken a big and important step for millions of beneficiaries including elders, widows and disabled in Bihar. Now social security pension in Bihar will be paid directly in bank accounts of beneficiaries by the 10th of every month. To make this system smooth, the Chief Minister has recently shifted an amount of Rs 1227 crore to the account of more than 92 lakh beneficiaries by pressing the button. This initiative will directly benefit millions of people who depend on their monthly pension. Earlier the payment of pension was often delayed, causing financial and mental troubles to the beneficiaries. This step of the government will liberate the pensioners from the hassle of circling the offices and standing in long lines, which will make their life easy and respectable. This social security pension scheme of the Bihar government is for various sections, in which the elderly are given old age pension, widowed widows and disabled pension to the disabled persons. Financial assistance of Rs 400 per month is sent directly to each beneficiary to their bank account. The government claims that this new system will bring complete transparency in the payment process and this decision has been taken when political activities are intensifying about the next assembly elections. It is expected that this step of the Nitish government will further strengthen its welfare image among the people and will showcase the government’s public welfare commitment before the assembly elections 2025. Overall, this decision of the Government of Bihar will ensure timely and regular financial assistance for millions of needy people, which will help them to meet daily requirements.
