News India Live, Digital Desk: Today the day has come for which thousands of students have been waiting for years. JEE Main session-1 examination is starting from today. Today thousands of hopefuls are reaching different centers across the country to try their luck. This exam is not just an exam, but it is a golden path for admission in the most renowned institutes of the country like NIT, IIIT and later on in IIT.

But it has often been seen that even promising students who study throughout the year get troubled at the last moment due to some small technical mistakes. If you also have an exam today, or in the coming days, then it is better to note down these few things now rather than standing outside the center and repenting.

1. It is wise to arrive early
It is better to reach at least half an hour before your reporting time rather than waiting after the gate closes. Often there is delay due to the location of the center or traffic. Remember, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is very strict about timing—once the gate is closed, it’s closed.

2. No laxity in documents
own admit card Don’t forget to take it with you (its printout should be clear). Also, the same passport size photo Keep with you the same which you used while filling the form. The most important thing is you Original Aadhaar Card Or any government photo identity card. Photocopy will not suffice, original must be required.

3. What to wear? (Special attention to dress code)
Don’t go to Parliament dressed like you’re sitting! The dress code of NTA is quite simple but strict. Avoid wearing shoes with thick soles or clothes with big buttons. Leave any jewelery (rings, chains, nose nails) or belts at home. Plain T-shirt and sandals or slippers are the safest option so that you do not have to worry during checking.

4. What not to take to the examination centre?
Do not keep any electronic items like calculator, watch (even plain), mobile phone, earphones, or pen-drive with you. You will get pens and pencils right there, so there is no point in carrying a heavy stationery box from home.

5. Competition for seats and your focus
Thousands of B.Tech seats are waiting in colleges like NIT, IIIT and GFTI. The students who get top ranking here will get direct admission in the best colleges of the country and the top 2.5 lakh students will qualify for JEE Advanced.

This is not the time to panic, but to remain calm and put down on paper what you have read. Remember, a wrong entry can spoil the tempo of your paper, so fill the attendance sheet and roll number very carefully.

We wish all the best to all you future engineers! Just give your 100%.
