News India Live, Digital Desk: Every year, the month of November brings a big worry for crores of pensioners of the country – the worry of going to the bank or treasury office and submitting their life certificate. Long lines, sick bodies and sometimes the problem of fingerprint mismatch, all this becomes a big problem for them.

but not anymore! Modi government’s ‘Digital India’ initiative has made this entire process so easy that now any pensioner can submit his Digital Life Certificate (DLC) in just a few minutes, without leaving home, just from his mobile phone. And the best part is that it doesn’t even require a fingerprint!

How does this magic-like feature work?

This amazing thing has become possible through a special mobile app. ‘AadhaarFaceRD’ And ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ Thanks to. The government has now linked the technology of facial recognition to Jeevan Pramaan.

This means that now the app will confirm that you are alive by matching your face with the photo present in your Aadhaar card. The whole process is as easy as taking a selfie.

If you or someone in your household is a pensioner, then you can submit their life certificate from the comfort of your home by just following these simple steps:

1. Download two apps: First of all go to Google Play Store and download two apps – AadhaarFaceRd App And Jeevan Pramaan App(Note, download the face scanner app first),
2. Register yourself: Open Jeevan Pramaan app and click on ‘New Registration’ in it. Complete the registration here by filling the pensioner’s Aadhar number, mobile number, email ID and some pension related information (like PPO number, bank account number etc.). An OTP will come on your mobile, after entering which you can proceed.
3. Face Scan: Now instead of fingerprint for authentication you have to ‘Face Scan’ Have to choose option. The app will tell you how to position your face in front of the camera (in direct light, blink eyes, etc.). The camera will take a live photo of your face.
4. SUBMIT CERTIFICATE: As soon as your face successfully matches with your Aadhaar card photo, your life certificate will be generated and ‘Approved’ will appear on the app. A proof ID will appear on your screen and a confirmation message will also come on your mobile. Your certificate will be automatically sent to your pension department.

This facility is no less than a boon for those elderly pensioners who are ill, unable to walk, or whose fingerprints have worn off with age. Now they can easily get their rights without anyone’s help.
