News India Live, Digital Desk: We often hear that the government sends a lot of money to the villages, but it is not known where that money disappears by the time it reaches the villages. Sometimes the road is incomplete, sometimes the drain is missing. But now it seems that the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to end this mess. Amidst the sound of Panchayat elections, CM Yogi Adityanath has taken a very strict decision.
What is this new ‘monthly plan’?
The news is that CM Yogi has given clear instructions to the officials that now the development works of villages will be reviewed not in a year or two, but Monthly Review Will happen. And the biggest thing is that this review will not take place behind closed doors.
for this ‘Open meetings’ Will be organized. Do you understand what this means? This means that the meeting will be held at the village school, Panchayat Bhawan or Chaupal. This includes government officials, village heads and most importantly— ‘Village people’ Will be present.
“Milk of milk, water of water” will be in front of the public.
Imagine, how difficult it would be to give wrong information when the officials would ask in front of the entire village, “Money was received for such and such drain, where was it built?”.
In these open meetings, it will be decided what the village needs and whether the money received last month was spent in the right place or not. If any head or officer commits any wrongdoing, it is certain that he will be exposed in the public meeting.
Preparation for Panchayat elections?
Political experts believe that this step has been taken keeping in mind the upcoming Panchayat elections. The government wants that before the elections, the pace of work in the villages should be faster and public resentment can be removed. CM Yogi wants that the benefits of government schemes should reach the last person directly and not go into the pockets of middlemen.
Big opportunity for villagers
This is very good news for us common people. Now you will not have to visit Tehsil or District Headquarters with your complaint. When the officers themselves come to your door, you can question them directly.
CM has also said that development work should not be just a matter of fulfillment, its quality will also be checked. So overall, ‘Stealing’ is not going to work anymore.
