News India Live, Digital Desk: Getting good sleep in today’s busy life is no less than a challenge. Many times it happens that you become very tired after working all day, but as soon as you go to bed, sleep disappears! If this happens to you too, there is no need to panic. A renowned neurosurgeon has explained the reason for this and has also shared 4 great tips for better sleep at night.
According to neurosurgeons, the biggest reason for sleeplessness is our ‘mental confusion’ and modern lifestyle. When our mind does not get calm from the day’s worries, stress or mobile phone screen, then there is difficulty in sleeping despite the body being tired. It also affects our body’s internal clock (circadian rhythm), which disrupts the sleep-wake cycle.
So the neurosurgeon gave these 4 surefire solutions for better sleep at night:
- Make a regular sleep schedule (Fixed Sleep Schedule): Try to go to bed at the same time every night and wake up at the same time in the morning, even on weekends. With this, your body’s biological clock will become regular and you will automatically start falling asleep.
- Create a calm and comfortable environment for sleeping: Keep your bedroom dark, quiet and slightly cool. Draw heavy curtains, reduce outside noises and avoid any kind of stress before sleeping. A good comfortable pillow and mattress are also important.
- Adopt Calming Activities: Activities like taking a warm bath before sleeping, reading light books (without gadgets), listening to slow music or doing meditation calm the mind and help in inducing sleep. Avoid eating heavy food or taking caffeine.
These small but effective changes can drastically improve the quality of your sleep. Remember, good sleep is the key to a healthy life!
