The war between Pakistan and Afghanistan has now reached such a point where all the doors of dialogue seem to be closed. Air strikes on Afghanistan have cost Pakistan so much that now the situation is getting out of hand. While retaliating, Taliban has not only claimed to have killed 58 Pakistani soldiers, but after this entire uproar, Islamabad has closed its embassy in Kabul.
What happened now?
The latest and biggest news is that Pakistan has decided to close its embassy in Kabul. The closure of an embassy between any two countries is considered a very big and serious step. This simply means that there will be no direct talks between the two countries at present and relations have become very bad.
Why did the situation deteriorate so much?
It started with the air strike by Pakistan which it carried out in Kabul. Pakistan alleged that terrorists attack there and then hide in Afghanistan. But this attack did not please the Taliban at all and they considered it an attack on their sovereignty.
What the Taliban did in response to this shook Pakistan. The Taliban claimed that its fighters retaliated heavily along the border and killed 58 Pakistani soldiers. Not only this, Taliban has also claimed to have captured many Pakistani military posts.
Taliban gave open warning
Taliban has clearly stated that they will not tolerate any attack and if Pakistan commits such audacity again, it will have to face very serious consequences.
Now the situation is such that there is huge tension on the border of both the countries, the armies are face to face and diplomatic relations have almost broken down. The closure of the embassy is an indication that instead of reducing, this tension may increase in the coming days. Now everyone’s eyes are on whether this border dispute will turn into a major war.
