Now those traveling without tickets in the train will not be in trouble, because the TTE (Ticket Checking Personnel) who check the tickets will no longer be able to disappear from their duty. Lucknow Division of Northern Railway has taken such a big step, due to which the Railways will keep a close watch on every activity of TTE.

Lucknow Division has now issued notice for the attendance of TTE at all the 11 stations under it. biometric system Has been implemented. it means

At which stations did this new rule apply?

This new system has started in all 11 TTE lobbies of Lucknow division, which include these major stations:

  • Lucknow
  • Varanasi Junction
  • Prayagraj Sangam
  • Ayodhya Dham and Ayodhya Cantt.
  • Rae Bareli
  • Sultanpur
  • Pratapgarh
  • barabanki
  • Shahganj
  • Unnao

The era of old register is over

Till now, the attendance of TTEs was done by signing a thick register, in which there was often scope for error. At times it became difficult to ascertain which TTE was actually on duty and which was not. But now all this has become a thing of the past.

What are the major benefits of this ‘digital whip’?

  1. No excuses will do: Now TTEs will have to reach their lobby on time and give thumb impression. With this, their location will be tracked in real time and they will not be able to ‘bunk’ from duty.
  2. Real Time Monitoring: Railway management will now be able to see which TTEs are deployed on duty in which train, just by sitting in their office. This will increase their accountability.
  3. Transparency and honesty will increase: The entire process has become transparent with the biometric system, which will curb corruption and negligence.
  4. Passenger facilities will be better: When TTEs will be ready for their duty on time, the work of ticket checking in trains will be done in a better way and people traveling without tickets will be tightened.

Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Sunil Kumar Verma has called it a huge and important step towards ‘Digital India’. This new system will not only improve the functioning of the Railways, but will also make the journey of passengers more safe and comfortable.
