WhatsApp has launched a new feature, under which users will now be able to share their WhatsApp status updates on Instagram and Facebook Stories as well. The company is working rapidly to roll out this feature globally, and WABetaInfo first reported about it in December 2023. Earlier, this feature was expected to be an option in the status section of the WhatsApp app, but now Meta has decided to provide a dedicated section to manage this feature.

Will get more control over content sharing

Meta has introduced Accounts Center in its recent update. It will act as a central hub from where users can easily manage the integration of WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram. This new section will give users more control over their content-sharing. Now users will be able to enable or disable cross-posting of their WhatsApp status updates to Instagram and Facebook.

Login will be easy with single sign-on feature

Users will get another new feature in WhatsApp Account Center, Single Sign-On feature, under which they will be able to easily login to WhatsApp and other Meta apps. This feature will make login easy in just a few steps. With this, Meta is also ensuring that users’ personal data remains completely safe, and for this, WhatsApp will continue to protect users’ messages and calls with end-to-end encryption.

Note: Optional features will become available gradually

This feature will be completely optional and will be disabled by default. Users can turn it on or off by going to Settings. Meta will gradually roll out this feature to all users, and it will become fully available in the coming days.
