Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant made a big announcement on Friday. The Chief Minister announced that if a tourist vehicle is found in a tourist vehicle while entering the state of Goa, then a proper penalty will be charged on the state border and their belongings will also be confiscated. Apart from this, if anyone is seen cooking in the open in Goa, the police will take him into custody along with the car and will also impose a fine.
CM Pramod Sawant also said that there will be a complete ban on begging, massage on the beach and brokerage. Action will also be taken against those who massage tourists by roaming in open places in Goa, beggars who harass tourists and brokers working in the tourism sector.
CM Sawant made this announcement during a press conference at the Ministry (Secretariat) in Porvor after presiding over a meeting of high level officials to review the implementation of new laws (Indian Judicial Code, Indian Civil Protection Code and Indian Evidence Act) in Goa.
Declaration of new rules
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday announced some security rules in Goa to save both local residents and tourists from getting upset. He said that now only police inspectors with body camera will be able to deduct the challan of those who violate traffic rules during the day.
He said that only the police inspector or sub -inspector who install cameras on uniforms at night will be able to cut the challan of those who violate traffic rules. The new rule has come into effect from Friday (April 4).
Gas cylinders and stoves will be confiscated.
The Chief Minister said that all the passenger vehicles entering the state will be investigated thoroughly on the state border. If they are found to be cooking on the roadside, their gas stoves and cylinders will be confiscated and their vehicles will be fined.
