If you too were forced to travel like sheep crammed into the general coaches of Tatanagar-Buxar Express, then now there is some good news for you. Train No. 18183/18184, Tatanagar-Buxar-Tatanagar Express, is one of the most important trains running on this route. This train not only connects Tatanagar and Buxar, but also attracts thousands of daily commuters, labourers, students and people doing odd jobs from big stations like Asansol on its way.

For a long time, the conditions in the general compartments of this train had become so bad that people were not even able to get space to put their feet. The crowd was so huge that people were forced to travel by sitting on toilets and hanging from the doors, risking their lives. The situation became even more frightening during festivals.

Chakradharpur Railway Division understood the seriousness of the matter and decided to add an additional general coach in this train with immediate effect. This coach will be a part of the permanent coach composition of the train, that is, it will now be always installed.
