In view of the upcoming elections in Bihar, the state’s major opposition party, Grand Alliance, has expressed serious concern over the amendment processes going on in the voter list. The party alleges that there are irregularities in the amendment of the voter list in some areas, and they have appealed to the Election Commission to make the process more transparent and fair.
The leaders of the Grand Alliance have claimed that they will also submit a detailed memorandum to the Election Commission in this regard. According to him, in some places where their supporters are high, the names of voters are being removed from there or intentionally obstacles are being created in the amendment. They are describing such activities before the election to affect the process of conducting independent and fair elections in the state.
The main opposition leader, Tejashwi Yadav, has raised the issue that his main objective is to maintain the integrity of the election process. They want to ensure that each eligible voter gets an opportunity to exercise their vote. The Maha alliance has also demanded that it be completely examined before removing any name from the voter list and adopted in a transparent manner.
This issue adds a new dimension to state politics and can make the upcoming electoral atmosphere more warm. It is important for the Election Commission to take cognizance of these allegations and ensure that the amendment of the voter list is with the highest standards of fairness and transparency.
