If you too are seeing more Mahindra Scorpio and Thar on the roads these days than before, then it is not a trick of your eyes! The month of September 2025 was no less than a celebration for Mahindra. Be it the effect of lower GST rate on vehicles or the magic of Mahindra’s powerful models, the company has broken all sales records.

Last month, Mahindra sold a total of 56,233 vehicles, which is more than 10% compared to last year. But the real heroes of this spectacular success story are just two names – Scorpio and Thar.

Scorpio and Thar: The real ‘Bahubali’ of the road!

  • Scorpio (Scorpio/N): This car looks like it is flying out of the showroom! It was Mahindra’s best selling vehicle in September, with a total 18,372 units Sold. There has been a tremendous jump of 27% in its sales as compared to last year.
  • Thar (Thar / ROXX): This king of off-roading is ruling the hearts of people. Thar sales witnessed a meteoric rise of nearly 34% and its total 11,846 units Sold.

Imagine, just these two vehicles together contributed to more than half (53.74%) of Mahindra’s total sales!

XUV700 and XUV 3XO: Strongly holding their place

  • XUV 700: This luxurious SUV also remains a favorite of the customers. Its sales remained almost stable and the total 9,764 units Sold.
  • XUV 3XO: This compact SUV also maintained its hold in the market and 9,032 units Recorded sales of Rs.

But a shocking news: what happened to Bolero?

There is also a surprising twist in this success story. Mahindra’s most reliable and ruling for years bolero in sales of Huge decline of 66% I. While last year 8,180 units were sold, this September this figure was only 2,747 But it was reduced.

Mahindra’s entry into the electric world too

Mahindra is not behind in the matter of electric vehicles also:

  • Company’s new electric vehicles—XEV 9e EV And BE 6 EV—has made a good start in the market. Together these two are approximately 4,300 units Sold.
  • However, the old XUV 400 EV Customer appetite for the company showed little and its sales fell by 84%.

Overall, Mahindra’s fort remains strong on the strength of Scorpio and Thar, and the company now looks ready for the electric future as well.
