News India Live, Digital Desk: Owaisi Statement: Whenever there is talk of a cricket match between India and Pakistan, the atmosphere gets hot. On the one hand, while crores of fans eagerly wait for this match, on the other hand there is a lot of politics. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has once again targeted the government for the India-Pakistan match and has raised some serious questions.
“Shame, our 26 people lost their lives”
Referring to the recent terrorist attack, Owaisi said that how far is Pakistan to play cricket with which 26 citizens lost their lives? He asked in a very emotional tone, “Is there no cost to the lives of those 26 people? If someone in your house had gone, would you still play this match?
He says that on the one hand we talk about terrorism and on the other hand we do business of thousands of crores of rupees by playing cricket. Owaisi directly attacked the BJP and said that those who talk about patriotism should now answer.
Is it possible to keep sports and politics separate?
Owaisi believes that when there is tension on the border and our citizens are killed, cricket should not be played. He reminded that earlier it was said that ‘blood and water cannot flow together’, then how is cricket being played now? His question is whether the sentiments of the country are being ignored for a few money?
It has always been a big debate whether the game should be kept separate from politics. Cricket lovers believe that the match can improve the relationship between the two countries, while leaders like Owaisi see it with the security and respect of the country. He says that until Pakistan does not take any concrete steps on terrorism, no connection with it, no matter what is the game, should not be kept.
It has to be seen what the government and BCCI react to this. But one thing is clear that the India-Pakistan match is not just a game, but also a big field of emotions and politics.
