In this, 9 terrorist camps were destroyed in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir. After India’s Operation Sindoor, Pakistan became so frustrated that it tried to attack 15 Indian military bases in retaliation. But the Indian Army thwarted all Pakistan’s efforts. India had stopped the water of Pakistan earlier also. After this, the gates of the dams have now been opened.
India had decided that Pakistan’s throat would dry up after the Pahalgam attack. India suspended the Indus Water Treaty. India has also adopted a strategy to pressurize the Chenab River. On Thursday, May 8, India opened a large amount of water to Pakistan by opening the gates of Bagihar and Salal dams. This has created flood -like conditions in many areas there. This not only affected the military operations of Pakistan, but also created anarchy in their border areas.
This is the second time in the last five days when India has ‘burnt attack’ on Pakistan. Earlier on Sunday, India stopped the water of Chenab river, causing drought -like conditions in Pakistan and many of its hydroelectric projects came to a standstill.
Pakistan is not stopping its activities despite being disappointed. After this, India again released water on Monday. Furious from Operation Sindoor, Pakistan started firing in Indian border areas from Tuesday night, in which an Indian soldier was killed and 14 civilians were killed.
According to media reports, Doda-Kishtwar and Reasi received heavy rains last night. In view of this situation, two additional gates have been opened to control and stabilize the water flow of Bagiyar and Salal dams. However, this may cause floods in Pakistan. Due to the opening of the gates of these two dams, the water level in Akhnoor under Reasi has increased by more than 20 feet. Due to this, flood situation has also arisen in the border areas of Pakistan. Although it has not been officially confirmed, sources said that some Pakistani areas have been flooded near Garhkhal and Pargwal sectors.
India has ‘remote control’ of Pakistan
Meanwhile, there are reports that Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has called an emergency meeting. Pakistani Prime Minister can take some strict action against India. According to the Indus Water Treaty, Pakistan was to be informed before stopping the flow of Chenab river water or suddenly releasing water from the dams. But now this agreement has been suspended, so no information is being given to Pakistan. This gives India the right that it can create drought or flood situation in Pakistan whenever it wants.
