The feud between Bhojpuri cinema’s ‘Power Star’ Pawan Singh and his wife Jyoti Singh is now coming out of the four walls of the house and making headlines in the politics of Bihar. The dispute which till now was personal, has now taken a completely political colour. It is reported that Pawan Singh’s wife Jyoti Singh is preparing to try her luck in the Bihar Assembly elections.
Another interesting thing in this case has come to light from the statement of Jyoti’s father Ram Babu Singh. He says that the daughter will definitely contest the elections, but if Pawan Singh comes and reconciles and gives another chance to the relationship, then Jyoti can withdraw her name. Let us know from which seat Jyoti wants to contest and what happened between the husband and wife that the matter reached here.
Meeting with Prashant Kishor and election excitement
It is not yet clear on which party’s ticket Jyoti will contest the elections, but her eyes are on Karkakat seat of Bihar. This is the same seat where he campaigned vigorously for Pawan Singh during the Lok Sabha elections and made a good name for himself among the people. Recently, she also met well-known political strategist Prashant Kishore and his ‘Jan Suraj’ team in Patna, after which speculations intensified that perhaps she could be the candidate of ‘Jan Suraj’.
Pawan Singh said- ‘I will not contest elections’
Amidst this entire tussle, Pawan Singh, who recently returned to BJP, has made it clear that he himself will not contest the assembly elections. He wrote on social media, “I, Pawan Singh, want to tell my Bhojpuri community that I did not join the party because I have to contest the assembly elections. I am a true soldier of the party and will always be so.”
Big drama happened in Lucknow flat
The dispute between Pawan and Jyoti increased further when Jyoti reached his Lucknow flat to meet him on 5 October. It is being said that there was talk between the two for about one and a half hour. But after Pawan Singh left, Jyoti stayed there and within some time the police reached there, after which the atmosphere became quite tense.
“Only my dead body will leave this house.”
A video surfaced on social media in which Jyoti Singh was looking very upset. Crying, she said, “Hello, I am Jyoti Singh. I have come to Pawan ji’s house in Lucknow and he has lodged an FIR against me. The police have come to take me… I will die by consuming poison. Now only my dead body will leave this house.” After this, Jyoti stayed in the same flat the next day and also observed Karva Chauth fast for Pawan Singh, the video of which she also shared.
Jyoti made serious allegations
Jyoti has made two big allegations against Pawan Singh. The first is that when she was campaigning for Pawan in the Lok Sabha elections, Pawan Singh was staying in hotels with another woman. She said, “No respectable woman would tolerate this, so I left her.” The second allegation was that Pawan Singh held him hostage and tortured him in his Lucknow flat. He raised the question, “What justice will a man who cannot give justice to his wife give to the society?”
Pawan Singh’s counterattack
After Jyoti’s allegations, Pawan Singh also expressed his views on social media. He said that he had respectfully invited Jyoti to his home and their meeting was pleasant, but he cannot fulfill Jyoti’s insistence of contesting the elections. Pawan also said that he had not called the police, rather the police were present there to prevent any untoward incident. Later in a press conference, Pawan Singh said, “Household matters are not resolved on camera, but in the room. Why did Jyoti remember so close just a month before the elections? How low can someone stoop to become an MLA?”
