Player of the opposing team and so much praise, Mark Waugh also admired Yashasvi, told why he is different from everyone else

News India Live, Digital Desk: When a young player comes into cricket, it is inevitable that he will be compared with the legends. But when the person making the comparison is a world champion Australian player himself, the matter gains weight. Great Australian batsman Mark Waugh has predicted after seeing the playing style of Yashasvi Jaiswal that this boy is going to become the next biggest name of Test cricket.

What did Mark Waugh see in Yashasvi?
Technique is often the biggest hurdle for foreign players in Test cricket, but Yashasvi has shown that he has the best combination of aggression and composure. Mark Waugh says that the way Jaiswal understands the game and handles pressure at the crease, is seen in very few players at such a young age. Jaiswal not only scores runs, he also destroys the morale of the bowler in front.

Records that testify
Yashasvi’s journey has started from Azad Maidan in Mumbai and has reached big stadiums of the world. Be it scoring a mountain of runs against England at home or standing with his chest held high on the bouncy pitches of Australia, this boy has proved himself on every front. Mark Waugh emphasized that the speed at which Yashasvi scores runs is what is needed in modern Test cricket.

Will Jaiswal take over the legacy of Kohli and Sachin?
There is often a fear in the minds of Indian fans that who will take the responsibility of batting after Virat and Rohit? This statement of Mark Waugh has reduced that concern to some extent. If a great Australian player is calling Yashasvi the ‘next great’, it means that he has examined Yashasvi’s skills very closely. According to him, Yashasvi will prove to be a nightmare for every bowling attack in the world in the coming few years.

In our view…
Jaiswal’s biggest strength is his mental balance. They play patiently and wait for their turn. This praise from a legend like Mark Waugh will definitely boost the morale of this young batsman. Test cricket currently needs a ‘crowd puller’ like Jaiswal.
