In a major employment facilitation drive, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits across central government ministries and departments during the 20th edition of the Rozgar Mela. Addressing the recruits virtually through video conferencing, the Prime Minister congratulated the selected candidates and their families, highlighting that entering public administration carries a vital mandate toward realizing the national vision of a developed India (Viksit Bharat) by 2047. Organised simultaneously across 45 physical locations nationwide—including major nodal programs in Mumbai, Patna, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Pune—the latest tranche takes the total tally of appointment letters issued under the flagship Rozgar Mela initiative to roughly 12.75 lakh since its launch.
Strategic Induction Across Critical Central Ministries
The newly selected candidates will fill diverse operational, technical, and supervisory vacancies across key central government ministries, bolstering public service delivery and law enforcement apparatus:

Department of Revenue & Financial Services: Inducting inspectors, administrative officers, and auditors to enhance tax compliance frameworks and institutional banking operations.

Ministry of Railways: Expanding technical staff, track maintenance supervisors, and station administration to support network capacity and safety initiatives.

Ministry of Home Affairs: Reinforcing personnel across central armed police forces (CAPFs) and allied homeland security formations.

Ministry of Defence & R&D: Assigning engineers and scientific officers, including Scientist ‘B’ positions at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), along with civilian administrative support.

Health and Family Welfare: Onboarding healthcare coordinators, clinical personnel, and logistics specialists to support public health programs.
Citizen-First Governance, Mission Karmayogi, and Upskilling
Addressing the inductees, Prime Minister Modi emphasized that citizen trust forms the core foundation of governance. He urged the young officers to approach administrative duties with empathy, transparency, and efficiency, noting that vulnerable citizens—such as elderly pensioners, scholarship applicants, and small farmers—gauge the entire machinery through individual interactions at government desks.
He also directed the recruits to leverage digital learning modules via the iGOT Karmayogi platform, where over 1.7 crore government personnel are actively building competencies in emerging technologies, workflow digitisation, and public grievance redressal. Connecting administrative recruitment to broader economic growth, the Prime Minister highlighted ongoing policy programs, including the modernization of 1,000 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) under PM-SETU with a ₹60,000 crore outlay and the ₹1 lakh crore Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana designed to stimulate entry-level employment across private and industrial corridors.
