News India Live, Digital Desk: Like every year, this year too Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the festival of Diwali with the brave soldiers of our country. But this time Diwali was something special, as it was celebrated with Indian Navy personnel on board the country’s pride, the indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. While talking to the soldiers on this occasion, PM Modi said something which won everyone’s hearts.
“Got to sleep a little early last night, which never happens.”
While addressing the soldiers, the Prime Minister shared his experience. He told that he had stayed on INS Vikrant last night. He said, “I have been among you since yesterday. Seeing your hard work, your penance and your dedication, I was so impressed that when I went to sleep at night, I slept a little early, which usually never happens.”
PM Modi further explained the reason for this and said, “Perhaps the reason for sleeping early was that after seeing you the whole day, there was a feeling of satisfaction inside me. So that sleep was not mine, but a sleep of satisfaction.” Hearing this, a different feeling of happiness and pride appeared on the faces of all the soldiers present there.
“The ship may be made of iron, but you make it live.”
Praising the spirit of the soldiers, Prime Minister Modi said that these big ships and weapons have their place, but the real strength lies in you soldiers. He said, “These ships may be made of iron, but when brave men like you board them, they become a living army.”
He described INS Vikrant as a testament to the hard work, talent and commitment of 21st century India. PM Modi’s interaction with the soldiers and sharing their experiences shows how much respect and affection he has for the country’s guards.
