Police Raid on Fake Spa Center: In the name of spa center and massage parlor in the country’s metros and major cities, it is not new. After collecting strong evidence, a special police team planned and suddenly raided the spa center. When the police team entered the center, the scene there was surprising. Police found 7 Thai women from different rooms of the spa center in “objectionable status”. Along with this, many objectionable items and evidence were also recovered from the spot, which were directly indicating the illegal business.
Arrests and scope of investigation:
The police, taking immediate action, have arrested the manager of the spa center from the spot. Many more aspects of this business are expected to be revealed during the initial investigation of the manager. The police is now finding out who are involved in this entire racket, through which means of foreign women were brought to India and whether they were being deceived or forcibly pushed into this work.
A case has been registered against the arrested accused under various related sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) including Immoral Traffic Prevention Act – PITA. The police have also detained foreign women and along with ensuring their safety and identity, their statements are also being recorded.
Human trafficking angle and social concern:
It is often found in such cases that foreign women are brought to India by pretending to be a good -paid job and then they are pushed into illegal businesses. In such a situation, the police is also investigating whether it is a matter of human trafficking. If so, an attempt will be made to reach out to the big kingdoms of the gang which are involved in such disgusting crimes.
The incident once again throws light on the trap of illegal body trade spreading rapidly in urban areas, often operated in the name of spa, massage parlor or fitness center. These centers often work without adequate rules and sometimes they become bases of illegal activities. Such businesses not only pollute the society, but also cause exploitation of women involved.

Police say that they are deeply investigating this matter and all evidence is being gathered. Their goal is not only to expose the current racket, but also to curb such illegal spa centers in the future.
