News India Live, Digital Desk: IRCTC Scam: Recently, the troubles of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi and son Tejashwi Yadav have increased in the ‘IRCTC Scam’ case. A Delhi court has formally framed charges against these three big leaders in this case related to money laundering. This means that now the legal process against them will proceed and the case will be heard in the court.

Let us tell you that this matter is from the time when Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Railway Minister at the Centre. CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) allege that Lalu Prasad Yadav had committed irregularities in leasing two hotels of IRCTC while he was the Railway Minister. It is alleged that the responsibility of maintenance and operation of IRCTC hotels located in Ranchi and Puri was given to a private company, in return of which Lalu Yadav’s family got valuable lands in Patna. This entire episode is also linked to the ‘land-for-job’ scam, because there were allegations of land and job transactions taking place in it.

ED had claimed in its charge sheet that Lalu Prasad’s family and some other people tried to convert illegally earned money into legitimate property through ‘money laundering’. Keeping these allegations in mind, the Delhi court has now considered and framed charges against several other accused in this case, including Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav.

With the framing of charges in this high-profile case, the turmoil in Bihar politics has also increased. This is a big blow for the Lalu family, because this matter is directly related to their corruption. Now all eyes will be on what turn the legal process takes next and whether the Lalu family is held guilty on these charges.
