Vladimir Putin India visit 2025 schedule: The eyes of the whole world will be focused on Delhi’s airport and Prime Minister’s residence today. Russian President Vladimir Putin is reaching India today (Thursday) at around 6:30 pm. This visit is not ordinary, but diplomatically its meaning is very deep. This visit of Putin is taking place at a time when America is continuously putting pressure on India to stop buying oil from Russia. America has also expressed its displeasure by imposing additional tariffs, but the friendship between India and Russia seems to be indifferent to all this.

This is Putin’s first visit to India after four years and the beginning of the Ukraine war. Russia has made it clear that it stands “shoulder to shoulder” with India.

Just 27 hours and back-to-back meetings

This visit of Putin is short, but very important. They will spend a total of about 27 hours in India and will not waste even a single minute during this time.

Thursday Evening Schedule: Friendship and Dinner
As soon as Putin lands in Delhi at 6:30 pm today, as per protocol, his convoy will proceed directly towards the Prime Minister’s residence (7, Lok Kalyan Marg). There will be a ‘one-to-one’ dinner meeting between PM Modi and Putin. The world knows that the chemistry between Modi and Putin is amazing, so all eyes will be on this dinner. The meeting is expected to last till 8:30 pm, after which Putin will go to his hotel for rest.

Friday: real work day
Friday is going to be a very busy day for Putin:

• 11 am: He will visit Rashtrapati Bhavan and formally meet the President of India.
• Homage: After this he will go to Rajghat and stay for about 30 minutes to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
• Afternoon Strategy: Putin will again reach Hyderabad House. Bilateral talks will take place between the two countries here. Agreements can be signed on important issues like defense deals, crude oil, and fertilizers.
• Press Statement: PM Modi’s lunch has been scheduled for 2 pm, but just before that, Putin and Modi can issue a joint press statement.

In the evening, Putin will stay for an hour at ‘Bharat Mandapam’ and participate in the launch event of a TV channel (RT TV). They will fly back to Moscow after another dinner at Rashtrapati Bhavan at 7:30 pm.

India and Russia need each other

For New Delhi, this tour is about achieving its freedom and needs. We need weapons for our army and cheap oil and fertilizer for our people, which Russia provides. At the same time, India is a reliable and old partner for Russia.
