Rain forecast in Mumbai
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain in Mumbai and its neighboring districts this week. Yellow alert has been issued from 31 March to 1 April for areas around Thane and Raigad. The Meteorological Department in Mumbai has predicted light to moderate rain on Monday and thunderstorms from Tuesday to Wednesday.
During this period, there is a strong possibility of heavy rains, thunderstorms and lightning in Thane and Raigad. IMD has also warned of strong winds in various areas during this period. Yellow alert has also been issued for this week in many other districts of the state.
This rain will provide some relief from the rising temperature and ongoing heat in Maharashtra. Earlier this month, IMD predicted a temperature higher than average from March to May, especially in Mumbai.
The temperature will be higher than normal.
IMD Mumbai director Sunil Kamble said that all have seen one or two degrees increase in temperature due to climate change. These changing climatic conditions also affect our region. In this summer, the temperature in Mumbai is likely to be one or two degrees above normal.
