Alam is that roads have become rivers and the lives of people have become disturbed, this sky has taken the life of five people, due to which weeds have been mourned in the city immersed in the preparations for Durga Puja.
City becomes a pond, the pace of life stopped
The rain that started late at night became so terrible by the morning that no one got a chance to recover. Most areas of the city are submerged in water to knees, due to which the condition of traffic is disturbed.]The vehicles are stuck everywhere and people are not able to leave for the office or their important works. School-colleges have also been affected by this situation. Not only this, the services of rail and metro have also come to a standstill, due to which the problems of the people have increased. In many places the pandals being built for Durga Puja have also been flooded, due to which the color of the festival is seen to be faded.
Painful deaths due to current
The saddest news amidst this terrible rain is that five people died in different incidents. According to reports, these deaths have occurred due to electric current in areas like Beniapukur, Kalikapur and Gariahat. Due to waterlogging, electric wires came down, which proved to be fatal for these people.
How will the weather be ahead?
The Meteorological Department has not given any news of relief at the moment. Due to the low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in many districts of South Bengal. The administration has advised people not to be vigilant and not to get out of the houses without essential work. It may take some more time to return to the city back on track.
