Ranbir Kapoor becomes ‘Ram’, Yash won heart as ‘Ravana’

Mumbai: The first promo of director Nitesh Tiwari’s much awaited film ‘Ramayana’ has been released, which has run a wave of enthusiasm among the audience. In this grand film, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the role of Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi will be seen as Sita. At the same time, ‘KGF’ fame Yash will be seen in the film’s dangerous character in the film, whose look has become a topic of discussion.

On Thursday, the first glimpse of the film was introduced in nine cities across the country including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai. In this promo, Ranbir Kapoor is shown as a warrior, who stands with a bow and arrow in the forest. The teaser also features a glimpse of the great war between Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, in which both are in their characters.

According to media reports, the budget of ‘Ramayana’ is said to be around ₹ 835 crore, which makes it one of the most expensive films of Indian cinema. The film will be released in two parts; The first part will knock in theaters in Diwali of 2026 and the second part in Diwali of 2027. In the film, Sunny Deol will be seen in the roles of Lord Hanuman, Ravi Dubey Laxman, Lara Dutta Kaikai, Kajal Aggarwal Mandodari and Rakul Preet Singh Shurpanakha. The film’s visual effects are handled by Oscar winner DNEG, promising to make it a large visual spectacle.

The first part of the film’s shooting has been completed and the shooting of the second part is expected to begin in August.
