Mumbai: Two people were arrested on Friday for kidnapping a 27-year-old youth in Mumbai and extorting lakhs of rupees by blackmailing him by making an obscene video of him.

According to the police, the youth has lodged a complaint of misconduct at the workplace against the main accused of the crime. After this the accused had to lose his job. Therefore, the accused committed this crime to take revenge. Agnal S Gomes and Aditya Rajshree Badekar were arrested in this case.

Both Gomes and the complainant previously worked at the same location. Gomes and the 27-year-old man both worked together at a call centre. Here Gomes was working as a manager. Therefore he used to force people to do as per his wish.

The young man ultimately filed a complaint against Gomes in April and he was fired from his job. That’s why Gomes wanted to take revenge. Therefore, he started keeping an eye on the movements of the complainant. His friend Badekar also supported him in this work.

The 27-year-old youth was returning home from work on Thursday morning. At that time, Badekar approached the victim as soon as he got down from the cab. After this, Gomes also came near them and both the accused beat up the complainant. After this both the accused took him to the workplace and here we showed the employees how we retaliated. After this, both the accused took the youth to another place and kept him confined here for 12 hours. After this he was forced to make an obscene video of her by making her half naked.

Furthermore, the complainant was also forced to hold a packet of ganja in his hand, thus trying to show that he was selling drugs. After this, cash worth lakhs was also extorted from the victim.

Apart from this, the victim was also threatened to make the video viral on social media if she complained to the police and the youth was dropped at his residence in Malad.

After reaching home, the victim immediately contacted Malvani police and lodged a complaint against both of them. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against both of them under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and searched for them.

Both the accused were arrested on Friday and further investigation was conducted to find out if anyone else was involved in the case.
