News India Live, Digital Desk: The country’s capital Delhi has once again turned into a ‘gas chamber’. After Diwali, the air of the city has become so poisonous that in many areas the Air Quality Index (AQI) has crossed 999, which is the maximum reading of any machine. That means the actual pollution is much more than this. People of Delhi are suffering from burning sensation in eyes, sore throat and difficulty in breathing. But amidst this deadly fog, now a new earthquake has come in the politics of Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has now directly hit back at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by raising three big questions.

AAP hits back at allegations of ‘hiding data’

In fact, BJP was continuously alleging that the Kejriwal government was deliberately hiding the true data of pollution. BJP said that many AQI monitors installed in Delhi have suddenly stopped working or have gone offline, so that the terrible level of pollution is not visible to the public.

In response to these allegations of BJP, Aam Aadmi Party has now opened its front. AAP says that the real reason for pollution in Delhi is stubble burning in neighboring states and BJP is blaming its failure on the Delhi government.

AAP asked these 3 questions to BJP:

Aam Aadmi Party has asked three direct and sharp questions to the BJP ruled states and the central government:

  1. Why is stubble not being extinguished in Haryana and UP? AAP has asked that when the Delhi government is ready to take steps like odd-even to stop pollution, then why are the BJP governments of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh failing to stop farmers from burning stubble? AAP alleges that the smoke coming from these states is suffocating Delhi.
  2. What did the central government do in 2 years? AAP’s second question is directly to the central government. The party has asked what concrete steps has the Center taken in the last two years to find a permanent solution to the problem of stubble? What options have been given to farmers in return for not burning stubble?
  3. Why question only on Delhi? The third question of the party is that when the entire North India is in the grip of pollution, and the condition of cities like Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad is as bad as Delhi, then why is BJP cursing only the Delhi government? Isn’t this just a way of doing politics?

Amidst this political squabble, the people of Delhi are forced to breathe poisonous air. On one side there is the deadly crisis of pollution, and on the other side there is politics going on over it. The question is, what will happen to the lives of the people of Delhi by the time this political fight ends?
