Rupee again crosses 86, 28 paise shut down at 85.77

After Trump’s tariff relief, the Indian rupee today rose against the US dollar to close above the level of 86. The rupee closed at 85.77 today, which is 28 paise more than the closed level of 86.05 of Friday.

The rupee remained strong today after registering the biggest one -day lead of two years of 61 paise on Friday. Today, the rupee opened at 85.85 at 85.85 and closed at 85.77 after touching a high level of 85.71 in the interbank foreign currency exchange market. According to traders, dollar weakness, rapid rise in Indian stock market and pure purchases of FIIs are responsible for the strengthening of Rs. The dollar index was seen trading at 99.56 with a decline of 0.06 per cent today, which is the lowest level after April 2022. Brent crude oil fell 0.63 per cent to $ 64.47 per barrel, while WTI crude was trading 0.63 per cent to $ 61.14.
