Meerut, 21 August (HS). Under the Sanskrit week, a Sanskrit short drama competition was organized in the Sanskrit department of Chaudhary Charan Singh University on Wednesday. In which children from various schools performed brilliantly and were awarded.
Under the joint aegis of Sanskrit Bharati Meerut and Sanskrit Department Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut inter-school Sanskrit short drama competition was organized on Wednesday under Sanskrit week. The program was inaugurated by Sanskrit Department coordinator Vachaspati Mishra, Dr. Rakshita, Dr. Sandeep, stage artist Anmol, Nishi Verma, Neelkamal by lighting the lamp. In the competition, students from about ten schools of Meerut staged short dramas on topics such as Samajik Sanskrit Pracharam, Nrusinhleela, Vaman-Avatarah, Vaidya Roginashcha, Chaturdasharatnani, Adi Kavi Valmikih, Nari Shiksha, etc. based on social, mythological, moral topics.
The university campus reverberated with applause as the students spoke fluent Sanskrit. In this competition, students of KL International School secured first position, students of Diwan Public School Jagriti Vihar secured second position and students of Satyakam International School secured third position. Students of Nehru Memorial Inter College received the incentive award. Vachaspati Mishra encouraged all the students by explaining the importance and usefulness of Sanskrit language in modern times.
