Under Safdarganj police station area here Lucknow-Ayodhya National Highway But bike riding miscreants shot dead an advocate. Road blocked and bullets rained
According to the information received, the victim advocate was going in his car/bike when the miscreants sitting in ambush stopped him on the highway. Before they could understand anything, the attackers opened fire on them. Due to bullet injury, the advocate fell there bleeding. After committing the crime the criminals fled from the spot. Police arrived on the information of passers-by and took him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Anger among lawyers, panic in police department
As soon as the news of the murder of the advocate on the highway was received, top police officials reached the spot. After the identification of the deceased, huge resentment is being seen among the lawyers of Barabanki Bar Association. The lawyers demanded security and warned of immediate arrest of the culprits. Forensic team and dog squad have also been called to the spot so that evidence can be collected.
Old rivalry on radar of investigation
According to police sources, in the initial investigation the matter seems to be related to some old rivalry or land dispute. Police are scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed on the highway to ascertain the route and identity of the attackers. SP Barabanki has formed several teams to arrest the accused.
