Hit by a speeding car, accused absconding after the incident

According to the information, this incident happened in Pune when Shehzad Poonawala’s elderly mother was standing on the roadside. Meanwhile, a white speeding car hit him hard and fled from the spot. The collision was so severe that he suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to the nearest hospital.

Information about this tragic incident was shared by Shehzad Poonawala himself on the social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter). “A few hours ago a very despicable man deliberately ran his car over my mother, seriously injuring her and then running away. My mother is one of the kindest women in the world and for this to happen to her at this age makes my blood boil,” she wrote in an emotional post. ### Tehseen Poonawala shared heart-wrenching CCTV

Shahzad’s brother and famous political analyst Tehseen Poonawala has also expressed deep anger over this incident. While sharing CCTV footage of the incident and pictures of his mother’s X-ray, he said that his mother’s hip bone was broken and she needed immediate surgery.

Demand for strict action from Pune police and administration

The Poonawala brothers have tagged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Pune Police in this case and demanded the arrest of the accused as soon as possible. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police have started investigation and on the basis of CCTV footage the car number and driver are being identified.
