Sensex down 329 points, stock market closed in red

There was weakness in the stock market on Friday, the last day of the trading week. At 3.30 pm, Sensex and Nifty closed in the red. Sensex closed 304.89 points down at 76,215. While Nifty fell 114.75 points and closed at 23,090 points. There were fluctuations in the market on the last day of the trading week and Sensex-Nifty closed with a decline.

Selling was seen in midcap, smallcap stocks, while realty, oil-gas and pharma stocks declined. On the other hand, Energy, Auto, PSE indices closed with losses. At the end of trading, the Sensex fell 329.92 points or 0.43 per cent to close at 76,190.46. Nifty fell 113.15 points or 0.49 percent and closed at 23,092.20.
