News India Live, Digital Desk: Shahid Afridi and controversies have been supported by Choli-Daman. Whether on the field or outside the field, ‘Boom-Boom’ Afridi is always in the headlines for his impeccable and aggressive style. Once again, he has done something similar, whose video is now going viral on social media. This time, the target of his anger has become the umpire of cricket.
What is the whole matter?
This is a match in the US Masters T10 League, where Shahid Afridi -captained team New York Warriors was facing Morisville Unity. Fakhar Zaman was on strike during New York batting and Afridi was standing at the other end. LBW’s strong appeal was made against Fakhar Zaman on a ball from Morrisville bowler Naveen Stewart.
The umpire picked up the finger without thinking more and gave Fakhar Zaman out. This decision of the umpire did not like the captain Shahid Afridi standing at non-strayer end at all. He felt that the ball was probably going out of the leg-stump.
When Afridi hit the IPL taunt
Annoyed Afridi directly reached the umpire after being given wrong out to his player. Expressing disagreement over the decision of the umpire, what he said was recorded in the stump mic. Afridi taunted the umpire and said, “Looks like you have to umpire in IPL.”
This fabric of Afridi was clear. He was pointing somewhere that the umpire is probably giving such decisions to make a place in a big league. However, this protest of Afridi was of no use. The umpire remained adamant on his decision and Fakhar Zaman had to return to the pavilion. New York Warriors also had to face defeat in this match.
This is not the first time that Afridi has expressed his anger on the field like this, but his IPL tanj has now become a matter of discussion in the cricket world.
