Howrah, 03 October (Hindustan Reporter). Installation of God flag: On the 12th day of Bharat Yatra, Jyotishapeethadhishwar Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati formally installed the Gopratishtha flag at Shankar Math in Howrah on Thursday. This yatra started from Ayodhya on 22 September, the objective of which is to declare cow as the mother of the nation.
During the yatra, Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda visited different states and installed the Gopratishtha flag. Recently, the Maharashtra government gave this Yatra an important achievement by declaring the desi cow as the state mother.
In today's programme, Shankaracharya said that it is wrong to see the cow only as milk or meat. Quoting Bhagavad Gita, he said that Gods are pleased by yagya and cow service. He said that God can be attained by serving cows, because according to “Gavaan Madhey Vasamyaham” God always lives among the cows. He said that Hindu society should vote only for cow protectors. Because the day cow slaughter will stop, our entire debt will start getting paid off.
Emphasizing the importance of mother cow in Indian culture, Shankaracharya said that worship and yagya are incomplete without cow. He said that cow service brings prosperity to the family and society.
Swami Pragyanananda, Swami Ambarishananda, Go Ganga Kripakankshi Gopalmani and other prominent saints were present in this program. The Yatra will reach Jamshedpur in Jharkhand tomorrow and the Gopratishtha flag will be installed in Ranchi on October 5.
