Shirdi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah today said the treacherous and deceitful politics of veteran politician Sharad Pawar and the dynastic politics of Uddhav Thackeray has come to an end after the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Mahayuti’s landslide victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Amid speculations that Sharad Pawar may leave the ‘Bharat’ alliance and that he is trying to join hands with the BJP, Amit Shah has hit out hard at Sharad Pawar.
Addressing the BJP conference held in Shirdi, the Home Minister said that the indomitable player of politics Manata Pawar has been playing the game of deceit and fraud in Maharashtra since 1978 till now. But with the defeat of the opposition alliance in the assembly elections, ‘Pawar-politics’ has come to a complete stop.
Shah said that the people of Maharashtra have shown their place to leaders like NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray by resorting to dynastic and treacherous politics in the assembly elections.
It is noteworthy that in the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections, out of total 288 seats, 230 seats were won by the alliance of BJP, NCP and Shiv Sena. Whereas the opposition alliance Mahavikas Aghadi got only 46 seats.
Considering BJP workers as the real architects of the spectacular victory in the elections, he said that these workers have made valuable contribution in hoisting the victory flag of the party from Panchayat to Parliament. He called upon the workers to strengthen the base by including a large number of women and farmers in the party.
The disintegration of the opposition Bharat Alliance has begun at the national level. While stating this, he said that due to the huge victory of BJP and its allies in Maharashtra, the confidence of ‘India Group’, an alliance of 12 parties, has been broken. That’s why the breakdown has started.
Talking about Maharashtra, he said that Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) has announced to contest the municipal elections on its own. Congress and Aam Aadmi Party will contest Delhi elections alone. The situation of the opposition is also not good in West Bengal and Bihar. Bharatiya Janata Party will win the Delhi Assembly elections.
