News India Live, Digital Desk:The weather has taken a strange turn in Uttarakhand these days. Chardham Yatra is just about to start, and just before that, snow sheet has started in many high mountainous areas including Kedarnath. On the other hand, the plains are also not untouched. The huge storm that came in Dehradun late Sunday evening, it brought a slight drop in temperature, but the Meteorological Department is saying that even today, there may be strong winds in the plains.
Talking about the mountains, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning for 6 districts – Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Almora. There is a possibility of winds and rain at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. ‘Yellow Alert’ has been released in these districts. It seems that this series of snowfall may continue in some places for the next few days. However, it is a matter of relief that the weather is expected to remain dry in the rest of the state.
Will Chardham Yatra start in rain?
A big concern is that the holy Chardham Yatra starting from April 30 should not begin with rain. The forecast of the Meteorological Department is indicating something similar. It is estimated that light rain may occur in most parts of the state from April 30 to May 2. Devotees going on the journey will have to prepare only after taking care of the weather.
How will the weather be today?
As mentioned, strong winds may occur in the plains today, while the weather is expected to be most clear in the mountainous areas. However, some mountainous areas may be cloudy and by evening, there may be light rain showers somewhere in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Almora. In Dehradun, the mercury was crossing 38 degrees for the last three days, but the storm, storm and drizzle on Sunday evening have given some relief from the heat.
Thunderstorms changed the scene in Dehradun
The weather patterns suddenly changed in Dehradun on Sunday evening. On seeing this, black clouds came over the sky and then a strong thunderstorm started, which increased the trouble of the people. Light drizzle was also accompanied by the storm, causing the weather to become pleasant. By the evening, clouds were clouded in many areas of the state, after which there was fresh snowfall on the peaks of Kedarnath.
Western disturbance will bring a big change
According to the Meteorological Department, a new Western disturbance is knocking in the state on 30 April. Due to this effect, changes will be seen in the weather of the entire Uttarakhand from the mountain to the ground. Especially in districts like Champawat and Nainital, some places are expected to rain heavy rains.
Stay alert: The weather will be kind (or upset?)
Due to this western disturbance, on April 30, a ‘Yellow Alert’ has been released in most districts of the state with strong thunderstorms. Not only this, on May 1, there is a ‘yellow alert’ to shine lightning in the entire state and blowing winds. It can be expected that from this rain and winds, people will get a lot of relief from the scorching heat for the last few days.
