Varanasi, 02 September (HS). Uttar Pradesh Police is now meeting international standards as well. UP Police, which follows the policy of zero tolerance against criminals in the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is promoting smart policing as well as setting new standards due to responsible and reliable approach. Achieving a new achievement in this sequence, the police line of Sonbhadra district has received international level ISO certification. Sonbhadra Police Line has now become Purvanchal's first ISO-9001:2015 certified police line. It has received the certificate of International Standardization Organization ISO-9001:2015 for better management, training, services and facilities.
It is noteworthy that Commissionerate Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida) has already become the first ISO-9001:2015 certified commissionerate of Uttar Pradesh. The certification received by the police department in the form of Sonbhadra reflects the implementation of Chief Minister Yogi's vision towards smart policing.
Work done on commitment to provide international level facilities
ISO-9001:2015 certification will prove to be a milestone in Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's accountability, transparency and zero tolerance policy towards the public. It ensures timeliness of work. Standard operating procedures, human management, better workplace and improvement in basic facilities will increase the efficiency of police, which will directly benefit the people of Uttar Pradesh and in keeping law and order strong. This has paved the way for providing international standard facilities to police officers and jawans.
Sonbhadra Police Line is equipped with various types of facilities
Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra, Dr. Yashveer Singh said that the services of gym, sports complex, central police canteen, transport branch, armory, training ground, uniform store, Inspector of Quarters Office, General Diary Office, Census Office for physical fitness in the police line and clean and ideal barracks equipped with basic facilities for the residence of police personnel were evaluated by the ISO team. The facilities of the police line were found to be in accordance with the standards of ISO (International Organization for Standardization), on which Police Line Churuk has been awarded the certificate of ISO-9001:2015 in August 2024.

Congratulating the Sonbhadra Police, Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police Prashant Kumar said that the Sonbhadra Police has received international recognition. Improvement in the basic infrastructure from the residence to the workplace of the police personnel and officers will increase their efficiency and capacity, the effect of which will be seen in the better functioning of the police. He said that before this, Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida) Commissionerate has received the status of ISO-9001:2015. Better policing is being seen there and in the coming time, other districts will also be given the status of ISO-9001:2015.
