Chitrakoot, 18 September (HS). Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Singh held a meeting with public representatives to know the problems of the people. He also took their suggestions for better law and order.
Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Singh held a meeting on Wednesday with District Panchayat Chairman Ashok Jatav, Mau-Manikpur MLA Avinash Chandra Dwivedi, District Cooperative Bank Chairman Pankaj Agarwal, Municipal Council Chairman Narendra Gupta and other public representatives. In this meeting, the Superintendent of Police asked the public representatives about the problems faced by the citizens in the district. Also, suggestions were taken for better law and order.
In this meeting, public representatives drew attention to the huge amount being collected from devotees instead of the reasonable fare in the name of Char Dham Yatra in the Ramghat area. Along with this, strict action was demanded against those doing so. Along with this, attention was drawn to the problem arising regarding immersion of Durga idols during the upcoming Durga Puja due to Ranan Talab and Ranipur Bhatt Talab being declared Amrit Sarovar. Apart from this, Khohi Talab located on Prayagraj Road, Durgadas Talab located at Beri Puliya and Lodhwara Talab and Bankat Talab located near Hanuman Temple were suggested for idol immersion.
The Superintendent of Police assured to take necessary action on both these points. Sarnam Singh, representative of MLC Man Singh Yadav and Vivek Srivastava, representative of MLC Babulal Tiwari were present in this meeting.
