Badminton star PV Sindhu also won a bronze medal for India in women’s singles. India’s no. 1 player defeated He Bing Jiao of China by 21-13 and 21-15 in the bronze medal match. It was a comprehensive straight-sets victory for the Indian badminton star. Moreover, India’s men’s hockey team registered a great win defeating Great Britain by 3-1.
