News India Live, Digital Desk: Second woman of america Usha Vance Has described the Indo-US relations as “very personal” for themselves, underlined that it is a “great opportunity” for bilateral relations, which have been in “fluctuations” from time to time. Vance on Monday said during a Firecide Chat in the eighth edition of the US-India Strategic Participation Forum (USISPF) leadership summit, “Of course, this is a very personal relationship because my family members are in India, and many of my family members are here in America, and I have grown up to meet my family members, and they also grew up to meet me.” He said in a program with the presence of Indian migrants and US MPs, major government, trade and community leaders, “Therefore it has always been a relationship that I have considered personally very important.”
She is USISPF The chairman and Jesse2 Ventures founder and CEOs were answering a question on their personal views about the US-India relations during the Fireside Chat organized by John Chambers.
Vance said, “The way I think more widely about it, I think it is a time of very good opportunities. And I think if my husband was here, they would say the same thing.” Obviously, the United States and India-India relations have ups and downs. Many times this happens when the needs of one country and the goals of one country are different from the other. “But now, I think, in the next four years and in the future, there is an established Indian-American population, and there are many people in India who know the country and know those who are doing great work here, getting great opportunities,” he said.
Vance remembered that when the second family in April-Vice President JD Vance, himself and his three young children came to India, “I was surprised to see the number of people who came to me to say how much they like our country, how they came to meet their family, how they came only for pleasure, that they are expecting a close relationship in the future. And I think they think of these personal relationships. At the leadership summit, the USISPF also presented IBM President Arvind Krishna, Aditya Birla Group President Kumar Mangalam Birla and Hitachi Executive Chairman Tosiaki Higashira “Higashira” also presented the 2025 Global leadership Awards for his outstanding contribution in strengthening the US-India-Japan Economic Partnership. This is the first time that business leaders of Quad group of Australia, India, Japan and America will be honored at the USISPF Summit.
