Sunita Williams Health Status: Indian-American astronaut Sunita Williams has reacted for the first time to reports of weight loss on the International Space Station. There was a big debate on the weight of Sunita Williams because recently a picture of her was revealed in which she was looking much slimmer and thinner than before. Then the NASA team became worried. However, Sunita Williams has given relief news from space on this issue.

Amid concerns about losing weight, Sunita Williams said in an interview to NASA, ‘I feel that my body has changed a bit, but my weight is the same.’ Sunita Williams went to space on an 8-day mission the same year, but failed to return after 150 days.

Sunita Williams said, ‘A lot of changes are happening here (at the space station). It’s interesting, I think, there are some rumors that I’m losing weight and so on. But actually my weight is the same as it was before. We weigh in, we have spring mass…Butch and I weigh the same as we did when we got here.’
How did you get stuck?
Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore set out on a mission. His mission was scheduled to last ten days, but his Boeing Starliner spacecraft encountered technical problems. The spacecraft was leaking helium and the thruster failed. NASA felt it was safer to land the Starliner without a crew, so they had to stop at the International Space Station.
SpaceX’s Crew Dragon has been sent to retrieve Sunita Williams, but is not likely to return before February 2025. That means the 8 day mission of Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore has now been extended for 8 months.
