Mumbai – A minor student from Surat has complained that a dance teacher from Amalner in Maharashtra raped her in Amalner, Pune and Thane. However, this complaint has been filed after five years. The student went to Surat and lodged a complaint at Pandesara police station. It was transferred to the Amalner police after the Pandesara police registered an FIR with zero number. The Amalner police have registered a case under rape and Poxo and are investigating.
A student from Surat came to study in Amalner in 2019. At that time, he joined the class of fitness class operator and dance teacher Jeetendra. Meanwhile, one day Jeetendra forced a relationship with Sagira and made photos and videos of the entire incident. And threatened to make it viral.
After 12th grade, Sagira took admission in a pharmacy college in Pune. During this time the suspect also took him to various hotels and had ties. She married the victim on 28 June 2022 in Thane. And in 2022, the complaint stated that he converted to Islam and got married again.
On 25 February 2025, the victim returned to Surat. Here he lodged a complaint against Jitendra at Pandesara police station and the case was handed over to the Amalner police under Zero FIR. The Amalner police have registered a case against the suspect under sections 376, 376 (2), 376 (n), 376 (3) and sections 3 (A), 5 (L) and 6 of the Poxo Act and are further investigating the case. In this regard, Inspector Dattatreya Nikam of Amalner Police Station said that the matter is under investigation. Further action will be taken based on the details found in the investigation.
